Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
*SEE ABOVE FOR REGULAR PHYSIOTHERAPY*
Pelvic floor physiotherapy is a focused area of physiotherapy that involves both internal and external evaluations and treatments of the pelvic floor muscles. These muscles, situated between the hip bones and the sacrum, form a supportive bowl for the pelvic organs, including the bladder, colon, and uterus. Everyone possesses a pelvic floor, which plays a crucial role in supporting the urinary and reproductive systems while also regulating bladder and bowel control. In women, the pelvic floor stabilizes the bladder at the front and the vagina and rectum at the back, with the uterus being anchored at the top by muscles, tendons, and connective tissue. For men, the pelvic floor serves to support the bowels, bladder, urethra, and rectum. These muscles connect to the tailbone and pubic bone, and when they become weak or dysfunctional, it leads to a condition known as pelvic floor dysfunction.

Restorative Yoga Massage
Restorative Yoga Massages start with deep breathing or a mindfulness practice to help you connect with the present moment. You will then be led through a series of restorative yoga poses on a massage table, utilizing bolsters and props for optimal support and relaxation. As your body relaxes and the restorative stretches deepen, Alana will perform therapeutic massage while you continue your guided breath-work or meditation. This serene treatment allows your body to rest, recharge, and heal. Individual sessions are classified as Registered Massage Therapy and adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Each treatment is customized based on your health history, integrated into your treatment plan, and can be submitted for any extended healthcare benefits.
